Today's high of 93° was the first reading in the 90s this year, twenty degrees above average. However, it was bearable because the humidity was very low (and the morning low was a comfortable 60°). Just eight more 90-degree days would follow through late August, half the usual number of hot days.

This weekend's unseasonably warm temperatures were similar to the same weekend last May, with this year’s highs/lows being 90°/62° and 89°/72°, while last year’s (on May 22 and 23) were 89°/65° and 88°/68°.

The day's high was 22 degrees below average and was the coolest high temperature on record for 5/22, three degrees cooler than the previous record from 1894.

We don't need to do 5/22/25 again! Good riddance!
